The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008)

Date Watched: July 30, 2011

What a strange, brilliant film.

A baby is born old, and grows young. And the people encountered in the meantime are never the same again. This is the prime demonstration of true love, that goes miles beyond a spouse or a lover. It’s incredible.

And there’s really not anything else I can write about it except… watch it.

  1. I can’t decide whether to hate or love the scene where Benjamin meets his child who is a few years younger than him (physically).

  2. It’s a little bit of both… I think the biggest issue is how the whole thing is so unfair… they’ll never really know each other, despite how much he loves her, and how much he loves her mom. You want to love it, but it’s so infuriating that it has to be that way.
