Reservoir Dogs (1992)

Date Watched: September 30, 2010
Source: Netflix

This was kind of a crazy movie. It’s my second Tarantino, and like I mentioned in the post for it, it doesn’t live up to Inglourious Basterds. But, it was still good. It’s supposed to be this hired group of professional criminals executing a bank robbery. They aren’t supposed to know anything about each other, so their names are colors. Mr. Pink, Mr. White, Mr. Orange, Mr. Blonde, to be exact. And Nice Guy Eddie. Anyway, when the robbery gets botched, it’s obviously because one of them is a police informant. A horribly injured Mr. Orange is brought back to the safehouse by Mr. White, and the story begins to unravel. The whole film is another intricate weaving of characters and stories; just the kind of film I enjoy. Film with thought. It’s violent, but the violence takes a back seat to the stories. Tarantino leads you through how each of these men came to work together, and eventually, you discover who the informant is and how the robbery went wrong. Very interesting. Similar to Momento, only less confusing. Not bad at all.
